  • 4 medium russet potatoes, peeled and chopped

  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Boil chopped potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter and milk until smooth.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Cook the Turkey: Add ground turkey to the skillet; cook until browned (about 7 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Add Vegetables & Broth: Stir in diced carrots and frozen peas; pour in chicken broth. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Assemble the Pie: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread turkey mixture in a baking dish, top with mashed potatoes, and create peaks with a fork.
