  • For the Cookie Layer: 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt; mix until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. In another bowl, mix cookie layer ingredients: flour, baking soda, softened butter, sugars, egg, vanilla, and chocolate chips until creamy.
  6. Spoon dollops of cookie dough over the brownie base and spread gently.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out slightly gooey. Cool before slicing.
