  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp olive oil (for brushing)
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  3. Knead dough until smooth; add water if too dry.
  4. Roll out dough to about 1/8-inch thickness. Cut out shapes using bat and ghost cookie cutters.
  5. Place on parchment-lined baking sheets, brush with olive oil, and sprinkle poppy seeds on top.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Cool on wire racks before serving.
