Ingredients

  • 1 medium green cabbage head (about 2 lbs)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Remove outer leaves from the cabbage and slice into thin strips.
  3. Layer half of the cabbage in the baking dish. Drizzle with half of the melted butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  4. Repeat with remaining cabbage, then pour heavy cream over all layers and top generously with shredded cheeses.
  5. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving to avoid burns.
