Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until fluffy (about 2 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time and mix in vanilla extract. Stir in optional orange food coloring if desired.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just mixed.
- Fold in milk chocolate chips evenly.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto prepared sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft; cool slightly before serving.
