- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or Nutella/jam
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour and cocoa powder; set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheets and create an indentation in each with your thumb.
- Fill each indentation with chocolate chips or your choice of Nutella/jam.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft. Allow to cool before serving.
