- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 4 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried thyme)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and thyme; mix well.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheddar cheese.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
- Cover with aluminum foil (shiny side down) and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown on top.
