  • 4 cups finely chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup grated carrots
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 4 green onions (chopped)
  • ½ cup soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • Chili sauce to taste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables by finely chopping the cabbage and grating the carrots.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped cabbage, grated carrots, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and green onions. Mix well.
  3. Roll the mixture into bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
  4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Fry the balls until golden brown on all sides (about 5 minutes). Drain on paper towels.
  5. For the sauce, combine soy sauce, ketchup, chili sauce, garlic paste, and ginger paste in another pan over medium heat. Stir until heated through.
  6. Toss the fried balls in the sauce until well coated and serve warm with rice or noodles.
