  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup hazelnut spread
  • powdered sugar (for decoration)
  • chopped hazelnuts (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and sugar. In another bowl, beat eggs until fluffy, then mix in melted butter. Gently combine both mixtures until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until springy.
  4. Cool slightly on a wire rack, then roll the cake using a clean kitchen towel while it’s still warm to shape it.
  5. Once cooled completely, unroll the cake and spread hazelnut spread evenly over the surface before re-rolling it without the towel.
  6. Place seam-side down on a platter, dust with powdered sugar, and sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts.
