Red, White, and Blue Jello Cups are a vibrant and refreshing dessert that captures the essence of summer celebrations. These delightful treats showcase colorful layers of fruity gelatin and creamy textures, making them perfect for festive gatherings or simple weeknight indulgences. With a little patience and creativity, you can impress your guests with this easy-to-make dessert that bursts with flavor and fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (3 oz) red jello (strawberry or cherry flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin
  • 1 cup boiling water (for white layer)
  • 1 box (3 oz) blue jello (blue raspberry flavor)
  • 1 cup boiling water (for blue layer)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the red layer by dissolving the red jello in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until fully dissolved. Pour into clear cups, filling them one-third full, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
  2. For the white layer, combine 1/2 cup cold water with 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin in a bowl. Stir until dissolved, then add 1 cup of boiling water along with sugar to taste. Let cool slightly before gently pouring on top of the set red layer. Chill again for about 1 hour.
  3. Repeat step 1 with blue jello using the same method as for the red layer. Carefully pour over the white layer once set.
  4. After the blue layer has set (approximately another hour), top each cup with whipped cream before serving.
