Description

Spider deviled eggs are a playful and spooky twist on the classic appetizer, perfect for Halloween celebrations or festive gatherings. These creamy bites are filled with a rich yolk mixture and topped with whimsical spider decorations made from black olives. Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 6 black olives (for decoration)
  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs by placing them in a saucepan, covering with cold water, bringing to a boil, then removing from heat and letting sit covered for 12 minutes.
  2. Transfer boiled eggs to ice-cold water until completely cooled; then peel.
  3. Slice each egg in half lengthwise, scoop out yolks into a bowl, and mash with mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Spoon the yolk mixture back into each egg white half.
  5. Cut black olives in half for bodies and slice additional halves into strips for legs; create spiders on each egg.
  6. Sprinkle paprika on top before serving.
